Disney Withdraws Attempt To Trademark The Name Of A Holiday!

Learned:
1.) That Disney had tried to do something else really stupid (but really, where's the surprise in that).

2.) Disney wouldn't have had ownership of the holiday, just the movie title.

3.) That the U.S. law doesn't actually provide copyright protection for titles.

Opinions:
1.) I really don't have much else to say after the last article. If you want my opinion on how much of a screw up Disney is, you'll have to refer back to that particular response. Mainly because I'm too lazy to copy and paste it myself.

2.) ...

Question:
What other dumb things are you gonna try and do Disney? I guess will just have to wait and find out.

Brave Creator Blasts Disney For Blatant Sexism In Princess Makeover!

Learned:
1.) That Disney took a character that they didn't even create and turn it into something it's not.

2.) That Chapman is the first woman to win an academy award for an animated feature film.

3.) She also won an Oscar.

Opinions:
1.) I've never watched the movie Brave, but if what the character Merida was supposed to be like in the movie and Disney completely changed her character, they seriously need to stop that crap. They act like "We've got money, so we can do whatever we like and you're all supposed to be okay with it". Shut up Disney!

2.) I honestly don't know what else to say about this. Disney is just taking it too far now. They honestly believe that they have UNLIMITED POWEEEEEEEEEERRRRRRR (that one's for you Graham) and they can do whatever they want. It's extremely arrogant and annoying.

Question:
Why? It's that simple. Why Disney? Why?

Six Simple Mistakes Documentary Filmmakers Make!

Learned:
1.) Whoever edited this page needs to be fired. "When you shooting go you must find that a special topic."  What!?!?

2.) Getting your facts straight is always key when doing a documentary.

3.) Most people wouldn't think this, but a good sound track to go along with your documentary can actually make or break it, even if everything else is perfect.

Opinions:
1.) These tips are helpful.

2.) I know that my opinions aren't good, but I don't have any.

Question:
Did I mention the typos? Being the Grammar Nazi that I am, I sure hope I did.

Graduation Is Nearing!

What I learned: That I don't do color projects very well.  :(

What I want to learn: At this point, whatever I come across that I don't understand when doing projects under my own accord from this point on I will find out how it works and what to do. Basically, I'm being very general on what I want to learn, it all depends on what I'm doing at the time.

Frustrated/Happy: My many projects that I've had to freak out over trying to finish on time throughout the year, not just in this class, but in my other classes at Wilson as well. Now that they're all done, I don't really have to worry anymore about not being able to finish a project on time. So I guess that I just did my frustration and happy in one comment.

If any of you guys are into Minecraft this is a very awesome game mode to try with many friends. Only having one life gives you the sense that you're actually in the game and that even the slightest bit of danger gets you nervous. When someone dies and they can no longer talk to you or the remaining players, it gives you the sense that they are actually dead and this is an absolutely awesome game mechanic. Definitely check it out if anyone of you guys are into Minecraft.

Want to learn: At this point, I'm running out of ideas...soooooo.....

So this was cool.

Crowdfunding And The Future Of Animation!

Things I learned:
1.) That Joe Murray created a website dedicated to helping independent animators.

2.) That the channel on YouTube cartoon hangover is actually a channel where independent animators put their work.

3.) That a guy in the UK is trying to get a particular show on the internet by using crowdfunding.

Opinions:
1.) I like the independent idea. That's what I see myself doing.

2.) Crowdfunding is a good idea if you're strapped for cash and you can sell your idea well.

Question:
1.) Based on statistics, how successful is crowdfunding?

Standards Of Living: The First Feature Film Shot Entirely On An iPad 2!

Things I learned:
1.) That you could shoot a film and make it look good on an iPad.

2.)That somebody had actually tried and succeeded.

3.) That shooting the film on an iPad 2 was what the director of the film had initially intended to do.

Opinions:
1.) I think it's cool that this guy created this movie low budget. Reminds me of mine and Graham's Untold series.

2.) The idea for the movie is very unique and to have it come out well is also a plus.

Question:
How long did it take him to make this?
