First Article: Amid Oscars Fanfare, Visual Effects Industry Faces Difficult Times.

Three things I learned:
1.) That Hollywood set a record with $10.8 billion being made last year from movies.

2.) That the studios that create the effects that you see in those films are facing tough times right now.

3.) That VFX studios does a lot of the special effects in movies nowadays.

Two opinions:
1.) I think that other special effects producing studios should have an opportunity to implement their talents and creativity as well and not just leave it up to one or two big studios to take over everything.

2.) I believe that special effects nowadays make up the majority of the films we see and that if one studio or corporation is going to make all the effects for the majority of the films that are produced, it won't give other smaller studios a chance to showcase what they are capable of and they will never take off like these bigger studios had the chance to do.

One question:
1.) With so much competition out their in the media and in the work force in general, how does one actually accomplish getting noticed when they are cast as a shadow behind all the greats that have made it big?
